there are 2 DUKES OF HAMBURG, just to Let you know, and both are a Mix up from each other.. the Dukes from Hamburg and the Dukes from San Francisco USA ,the Single you are holding in your hands is recorded by the Bielefelder Dukes, a 7" smash hit, Analogue Cut trou a Army of Old Fucked up Tubes made that Voodoo Rhythm platter to a Extraordinary Piece of work. the Story so far: In the early 90's Thilo Pieper went to SF and formed with Musicians of the Mummies, the Astronauts, + the Phantom Surfers and on Bass Shannon Smith (son of Repo Man Kirkwood smith) the American Dukes and Toured up and down the Westcoast plus 1 very Successful European tour then moved back to Germany and continued the Dukes in Bielefeld while the American Dukes still runing and Doing Shows they are very Inspired by the Lords and many of the oldtimer German Beat Formations as the petards, the Monks etc, they Are Germanys Leading BEAT GROUP in the very moment

Genau gesehen gibts 2 Versionen von den DUKES OF HAMBURG, eine existiert in San FRancisco (USA) die andere , die hier in Bielefeld ( Deutschland) Thilo Pieper ist in den Anfang 90er nach Amerika ausgewandert und hat Mit Diversen Musikern von the Mummies und Phantom Surfers und Astronauts und am Bass Shannon Smith (sohn von Repo Man Kirkwood smith) die Dukes of Hamburg zu Gegründen, sie haben die Westküste rauf und runtergespielt und auch Europa mit einer Grossen Ervolgreichen Tour in Grund und Boden gespielt, Thilo ist dann zurück nach Bielefeld getramps wo er sein Deutsches Pendant zur Amerikanischen truppe aufzog um dem ganzen die komplette verwirrung zu geben, heutzutage touren beide bands gleichzeitig in Europa und amerika
Die Dukes orientieren sich vorallem an der Deutschen Beat Musik, bands wie Petards, Rebbels, the Monks kommen da zu wort und gespielt werden vorallem Cover versionen mit einem drive der noch nicht da gewesen ist, anyway ihr haltet hier eine 7" in den Händen die sich nicht gewaschen haben, aufgenommen in deutschland und beim mastern dur ca 100 ausgediente röhren getrieben und auf einer 1963 erbauten schneidmaschine geschnitten gibt dieser single einen speziellen drive.
