———————————————————————
Voodoo Rhythm Records presents the 2nd Release from Pierre Omer's Swing Revue in Hi End Swing O-Rama,  2 previously unreleased songs from the 2016 recording sessions at Outside Inside Studios (Italy) for the Voodoo Rhythm album 'Swing Cremona.'
I SAW A GHOST, is a SPOOKY tune accompanied by the unanticipated sounds of Louise Merino TAP DANCING through the whole song. Earning the song further acclaim is the live performances of the one-and-only Miss Strange EXOTICA Flower LALLA MORTE (Paris) who simultaneously performs a perilous FIRE AND GLASS FAKIR ACT. The flip-side was written by the trumpet player, Christoph Gantert, who not only has written the song, but sings it as well. BELZEBUB is the Swiss German verb for the Devil (LORD OF THE FLIES) and the song has a STRANGE MORBID touch, as if it could have been played by a circus band at the End 30's.

Pierre Omer was born in London of an Indian father and a Swiss mother. He is a founder member of the legendary Swiss funeral Rock'n'Roll band The Dead Brothers (guitars and accordion). In 2009 he started his solo projects and played with many musicians such as Robert Butler (the Shit, the Miracle Workers), Roland Bucher and Christian Aregger (Blind Butcher) until he gathered in 2013 Christoph Gantert (trumpet/ vocals), Jean-Philippe Geiser (double bass/ vocals) and Julien Israelian (drums/ percussion) and founded his current band PIERRE OMER’S SWING REVUE. Pierre Omer plays a very cool Django alike Swing Jazz guitar, a Gipsy Accordion and a Fats Waller Piano. His music digs up American and European roots from folk to blues and from country to gypsy swing and jive. It is played in a rough and electric way and in the spirit of Django Reinhardt to Nick Cave and from Bob Dylan to the Gun Club, but with the backbone in 30’s and 40’s swing (live: Montreux Jazz Festival in 2015, Le Cirque Electric, Paris in 2014).
For the recordings the band went to Outside Inside Studios in Italy (the Movie Star Junkies, the Monsters, Andy Dale Petty) to get a fresh and warm new sound. The album contains many originals and well selected, fantastic cover versions such as a vocal version of “Miserlou”. Other covers are “Russian Lullaby” (Irving Berlin), “Lotus Blossom” (Duke Ellington) and “Undecided” (Charlie Shavers). Pierre used also a text of London songwriter “She Rocola” and wrote the song “International Man of Mystery” around it.

the iconoclastic quartet from Geneva Switzerland clearly breaks the boundaries of the swing format the Modern Les Paul from the Dark Side of the town ! mostly original material rooted in blues, swing, exotica, experimental and film noir including the terrific cover version of Niagara's 80's disco hit L'amour a la plage and Just one kiss by the Cure

Pierre Omer was born in London of an Indian father and a Swiss mother. He is a founder member of the legendary Swiss funeral Rock'n'Roll band The Dead Brothers (guitars and accordion). this new album is Recorded by the Band itself in total DIYS .. pierre already produced some voodoo rhythm records (mama rosin) for us in the past, and was mixed in Berlin's Big Snuff Studio with Nene Baratto (movie star junkies, black lips, Heat, Jimi Tenor, King khan, Black Mass Rising (soundtrack) etc the whole album Stands out with pierre's amazing song writing skills and the lazy laid back dark vocal and his irritating guitar playing along with christop gantert's devil possessed trumpet playing
