Just like the late Jessie Mae Hemphill, Becky Lee ( Becky Lee Walters) is a renegade and Lonely She-Wolf in the world of men dominated Blues Rock'n'Roll. She is one of the world's few female one (wo)man bands plays guitar, kick drum, snare w/a foot pedal and floor tom with her strum hand with such co-ordination you could swear it was a 4 piece band. Born and grown up in the hot desert of Arizona Becky Lee has been touring America and Europe with her Drunkfoot constantly since 2008 and has shared stages with the likes of
Reverend Beat-man, Jay Reatard, The Oblivians, Black Diamond Heavies, Sophie Hunger & Evelinn Trouble (they had a trio), Delaney davidson, kitty daisy & lewis.
She is one of those girls you see and you think....aw what a neat girl J.. but Beware she's in a Perfoming !! it's a Constant Fight between Heaven and Hell she's fighting struggling with her whole life and you can feel and hear this very Loud and Direct in her music. .. Becky has it all and she's a Hell of a Songwriter.
Her debut Album on Voodoo Rhythm Records includes 11 ORIGINAL RECODINGS, of a Woman that Must be heard, if you miss this you miss Life in general a must buy and A MUST SEE! She plays Murder songs, Headaches and heatbreaks. Real life. Becky Lee's early Recordings from 2008, after only 2 month of playing the Guitar and after two local Live Shows in Bern Switzerland, where she lived back in the Days in the Zaffaraya ( squat - trailer park) and worked as Freelancing Lidi Hop Dance Teacher, she hooked up with Oli Bösch a Famous Swiss Sound Engineer ( Züri West , Ray Wilko, Lovebugs etc) He wanted to record Music on CD for a Demo that she can sell on her Shows, and he did a Amazing Jop, did exactly what it needet, Becky is a Arizona Blues Woman with a Restless Heart and a Wild Live style ,on her early shows and recordings she plays guitar only a stomp box ( old record case from beat-man) and a Jingle Ring ( as well beat-man's) and a Poison Sweet Powerful Voice that brings the Dead Back to life and puts shiver down your spin endlessly ,All songs written By Becky Lee herself . The Record Starts off with OLD FASHIONED MAN her ultimate 'hit' song a Completly Lost in Space Guitar and on top of all her Broken Clear Beautiful Voice .. this is Arizona Blues at its best and a ultimate Classic Song , WATERFALLS the 2nd Song has a Mini Guitar Amp Completly Distorted and as well her Voice.. we call it Cave Gal Blues .. anyway those are the Two Types of music on the album, once very Clear Beautiful and the other Distortet and Twisted Wild
